Educational and Teaching Background Sonoma State: Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Santa Clara University: Masters in Interdisciplinary Education with a STEEM emphasis
Teaching and being an educator is more than just a career, it is a great passion of mine! My first 6 years in education were spent as a classroom teacher, most of them at Hammer Montessori, a magnet school in San Jose Unified School District. During this time I taught both primary and upper grades. Then for three years I stepped out the classroom, and had the unique opportunity of being an instructional coach for San Jose Unified. As an instructional coach I coached teachers 1-1 and provided professional development for teachers. Last year I returned back to the classroom at Hammer Montessori, where I taught a 1/2 combination class. I am excited to be moving back up to the upper grades this year and feel very fortunate to be joining the CVE family!
Mrs. Rossillon's Family Currently I live in Pleasanton with my husband Daniel. However, I grew up in Half Moon Bay, where my parents still live. Both my parents and my younger sister are in the education field. I am half Chinese, half Greek, and I take great pride in my unique cultural background. Every summer I am fortunate enough to travel to Greece to spend time with extended family that lives there.
Mrs. Rossillon’s Hobbies and Interests I am BIG coffee drinker! Starbucks is my go to coffee for convenience, but when I can, I love getting iced Mint Mojito coffee from Philz. In my leisure time I might be doing any of the following activities: taking time to cook or bake up a yummy treat, visiting a new city, trying out a new restaurant, or doing something active.
Additionally, I enjoy exercising and staying fit. I am a runner and have completed several half marathons, as well as one marathon. Aside from running, I also like to explore new hiking trails and take in the beautiful scenery.
Lastly, one of my biggest interests is traveling. I especially love to visit new places and learn about other cultures.
